What is a Feathered Brow (Microbladed brow)?
Microblading is a semi-permanent treatment using a handheld tool with nano blades to manually tattoo pigment into the basal layer of the epidermis to create and mimic fine hair-like strokes on your skin. This method gives a very natural result and is popular with clients who have never had a cosmetic tattoo before.
Microblading is the innovation in the semi-permanent make-up industry, and with no downtime this technique achieves a very natural result as long as your practitioner is trained in facial morphology, has advanced colour theory knowledge, and the advanced skillset to create perfectly placed hair-like strokes.
What is a Powder Brow (Micropigmentation Brow)?
Micropigmentation, otherwise known as Cosmetic Tattooing, is a form of semi-permanent makeup where minute particles of coloured pigment are implanted below the epidermis into the dermis layer of the skin using a high precision device to give a soft powdery effect. The tail of a Powder brow is darker while the colour slowly and gradually fades to become more natural at the beginning of the brow. A Powder Brow is particularly good for those with oily skin as our Micropigmentation device deposits pigment deeper into the dermis and therefore lasts longer.
What Pigment/Colours Are Suitable For Me?
For client’s with a fair complexion who burn easily, we recommend pigments from our cooler tone range… If you have a golden or olive complexion and tan easily, our warm tonal range is best suited for you. For client’s with neutral undertones and are after a natural result, we recommend choosing 1-2 shades darker than your natural brows. Either way we perform a detailed colour consultation using our advanced colour theory knowledge so that you walk out with the brows that you love.
At La Klinic we have a huge range of organic vegan pigments which can be mixed and matched to compliment your natural features. Feel free to bring in your favourite brow pencil and we can match this colour for you.
Is Microblading or Micropigmentation Painful?
We take every precaution to ensure our procedures are as pain-free as possible. Most of our clients do not feel anything at all apart from a scratching or vibrating sensation, while some are sensitive and can feel some discomfort. Our Compounding Pharmacist prescribes tailored anaesthetics to all our clients so your experience with us is as comfortable as possible.
Is Microblading or Micropigmentation safe?
Yes. Our range of organic pigments are vegan, hypoallergenic, contain no heavy metals, and are very kind to the skin. Manufactured in Germany for over 30 years, they are tested by independent laboratories so you can be confident of what’s going into your skin. We operate in a sterile clinic so there is no risk of infection or scarring.
How long does it last?
Our organic pigments are semi-permanent and designed to naturally fade over time. The rate in which they fade largely depends on a clients age, skin type, lifestyle, skincare routine, and quality of aftercare. Our Brow treatments can last up to 2 years but we recommend a yearly Colour Refresh to keep them looking on point. Generally, micropigmentation with our device lasts longer than handheld microblading as the pigment is deposited deeper into the dermis.
Duration
Our Brow treatments consist of 2 appointments 2-4 weeks apart and each appointment lasts up to 2 hours, depending on the characteristic of the brows and the work that has to be done to make them perfect.
Our treatments utilise the most precise and most gentle micropigmentation device on the market as well as state of the art microblading equipment and specially formulated medical grade anaesthetics which means there is little to no pain and virtually no downtime. What about aftercare?
